X-Pin 35mm Pinhole Camera Kit

The CAMERADACTYL X-Pin is a Panoramic Pinhole camera that takes 24x56mm pictures on 35mm film.  The X-Pin is a DIY Kit that requires complete assembly.

The camera is sold in three ways, all are DIY kits:

  • camera body only, with a random color shutter button and knob.

  • camera body with viewfinder with a random color shutter button and wind knob.

  • camera body with viewfinder with a custom color shutter button and wind knob.

Please note that there is a color form for all of these options, but we will only read the color form for a CUSTOM COLOR X-Pin camera kit.

Below are some necessary supplies and a link to full build and user instructions:

Required Materials:

  • Wood glue

  • Black paint

  • soda/beer can

  • Pin or micro-drill bit (.2mm recommended)

  • Super Glue (Cyanoacrylate, also sold as Krazy Glue)

  • Two small wood screws and washers. (about 10mm or ½ inch size 4 or 5 wood screws work nicely)

  • 35mm film and either an empty reloadable cassette, or empty commercial 35mm film roll with a leader sticking out.

Recommended Materials:

  • Sandpaper

  • Q-tips / Cotton swabs

  • Masking tape

  • ¼-20 nut (standard hardware for optional tripod mount)

  • M3 hex wrench/ allen key.

  • Much patience
